India AI Impact Summit 2026 Kicks Off with Groundbreaking Discussions on Transforming School Education Nationwide

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, which opened on 16 February in New Delhi, was a great show of educators, policymakers, and technology leaders who came together to discuss AI’s potential to disrupt Indian classrooms radically.
Through focusing on school assemblies and student-centred learning, the conference demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be used to tailor educational experiences to the needs of millions of students across the culturally and linguistically diverse regions of India. The event stressed real-life examples from AI-powered students’ support systems to personalized evaluations designed not only for CBSE but also for state board students.
Major sessions explored how AI can simplify the everyday school’s work, such as generating lesson plans automatically and monitoring the students’ performance continuously. A group of experts reported on the case studies in the schools of Bihar and Gujarat, where the use of AI led to a decrease in the teachers’ working time by 30%; thus, teachers were more available for interactive assemblies and religious education.
The summit recognized that the digital divide in rural areas is a big impediment and suggested low-cost AI applications that are user-friendly with basic smartphones typically found in government schools.
Apart from that, a great deal of work through partnerships between the Ministry of Education and leading tech companies was unveiled, deciding to utilize AI in the context of N.E.P. 2020. Such efforts include launching free AI tools for school assemblies, like a daily inspirational quote generator and multilingual news snippets.
Participants were highly impressed and inspired by live AI demonstrations that showed how the technology can be used to structure a student debating event, thus enhancing critical thinking skills needed for the leaders of the future.
